Research & Evidence
Built on Evidence. Open to Evaluation.
PROSPER has been developed using real patient data and validated perioperative research methods. We are committed to transparency, independent evaluation and ongoing research collaboration.
Development
PROSPER was developed by SurgiPlan using perioperative patient data and established statistical modelling methods. The tool was designed to predict patient-specific length of stay as its primary output, with complication risk estimates as secondary outputs.
Model Inputs
PROSPER integrates patient, medical, surgical and procedural factors. Inputs include age, frailty, comorbidities, functional status, planned procedure, surgical complexity and operative approach.
Methods
PROSPER uses validated statistical modelling approaches to generate patient-specific LOS predictions and complication risk estimates. Detailed methodological information is available on request for research and evaluation purposes.
Performance
Research information to be added. Performance data from validation studies will be published here as it becomes available.
Publications & Evidence
Research information to be added. Published evidence supporting PROSPER will be listed here. For current evidence, please visit the original PROSPER tool website or contact the SurgiPlan team.
Ongoing Research
PROSPER is an active research tool. We are engaged in ongoing validation work and welcome collaboration with NHS hospitals, academic institutions and research groups interested in independent evaluation.
Research Partnerships
SurgiPlan welcomes partnerships with NHS hospitals, academic institutions and independent research groups. We are committed to transparent, rigorous evaluation of PROSPER's performance in real-world clinical settings.
Discuss Research Collaboration
We welcome enquiries from researchers, clinicians and NHS organisations interested in independent validation, collaborative research or academic partnership.
